Allies, Serbia, Russia, France, Britain, Italy and the United States were one side. On the other side were Germany, Austria, Bulgaria and Ottoman Empire. The war began because of a small conflict in southeast Europe, which became a war between European and Britain. Facts to know about History of World War 1 It was a Global War: The world war 1 was a global War. It was a declared war between 1914 and 1918 over 30 nations. One side Allies, Serbia, Russia, France, Britain, Italy and the United States were together and on other side they were opposed by Germany, Austria-Hungary, Bulgaria and Ottoman Empire. This kind of situation was never faced anywhere in the World. War against People The First World War was a decided war or any kind of accident. But it happened just because of situation between human actions and decisions made by them. About 65 million men went together to fight as citizen armies. Million civilians made contribution to the war. Victory was totally depended on popular support. Some people has to surrender as they were pushed to their physical and emotional limits crossed. Attacks on civilians increased the war became harassing. Major Conflict of War Use of weapons and military made the situation so bad and everyone just tried to gain advantage over each the other. Soldiers and civilians were facing the attacks for the first time, as it never happened before.. The First World War became a big conflict in which British deaths were caused by diseases only. Losses in the War The First World War with 16 million soldiers and civilians were dead and countless physical wounded persons. It paid a lot of cost in waging of total war.
