Stereolithography (SLA) Printing It can be used for the creation of prototypes for new product development, medical sector and has many more applications with a relatively lower price. Materials| Upload CAD File|Vacuum Casting SLA 3D Printing Stereolithography technique is an additive manufacturing process that is used for creation of parts layer by layer through the use of photochemical processes. In this process, chemical monomers and oligomers are cross linked to form polymers. An ultraviolet laser is focused on a vat of photopolymer resin with the help of a CAD software. The resin is solidified photochemically and a single layer of the desired part is formed. After that, one layer is lowered by the build platform and the tank is coated with the resin again. This process is repeated again and again until the part is completed. After the completion, the part is washed with the solvent in order to remove the resin off the surface. It is a very widely used 3D printing technology. Uses : Major Benefits : It can be used for the creation of prototypes for new product development, medical sector and has many more applications with a relatively lower price. > Lower cost Medical Sector SLA can be used in the creation of 3D model > Lesser print time of the various regions of the patient’s body through the use of CT and MRI scans and > Large built size subsequently it can help in the planning and designing and manufacturing of the implant. > Widely available Prototype Creation This technique is widely used for the creation of prototypes in a relatively low price and high > Smooth finish accuracy. It can be used for the creation of complex shapes.
