of Creo 10! PTC fi rst broke new ground 
with the fi rst release of Creo back in 2011 
by writing a direct modeling code from 
Co-Create software on the PTC Granite 
Kernel engine that ran Pro/ENGINEER. The 
result was Creo, providing direct modeling 
capabilities in a parametric setting so 
users can try ideas and iterations quickly 
and easily. With the new release of Creo 
10, PTC does a nice job with the evolution 
of the product by adding or improving the 
following capabilities.

USABILITY AND PRODUCTIVITY
With every release, PTC Creo introduces 
improvements to make design engineers more 
productive every day, including updates inspired by 
you, our customers. Creo now includes multibody 
enhancements, including Boolean and Split 
operations, as well as tools for restructuring and 
reordering an assembly. And there are 
improvements to part modeling tools, including 
Sketcher, Divide Surfaces, Holes, Pattern, and 
Freestyle.

DESIGN FOR 
COMPOSITES
You can now use Creo to design with 
composite materials, ensuring a strong, 
lightweight product. There are several 
features, including ply definitions, flat 
ply contours, and automated ply book 
generation. Create solid geometry 
representing the composite shape with 
accurate mass properties of the 
resultant geometry.

DESIGN FOR 
ELECTRIFICATION
Electrification is a key initiative for 
many industries. Creo has a new, 
dedicated cabling tree and improved 
design tools for routed systems, 
helping you create and manage 
harness assemblies. The Split/Merge 
Harness Tool enables collaboration 
and reuse of sub-harness assemblies. 
Creo 10 extends ECAD capabilities, 
including import of paste masks and 
better handling of ECAD hole 
parameters. This produces better 
integration, collaboration, and 
visibility of PCBs in Creo MCAD

Creo now gives you powerful, 
model-based definition tools to

improvements for usability, 
productivity, and compliance
