Rama Rao, this lake area was renovated and beautified with statues and parks 
to its current shape. Many new facilities like the necklace road, Lumbini park, 
water fountains and NTR gardens were added in the 1990s to get the lake its 
current beautiful appearance. This is quite a large lake and a drive around its 
shore is over 9 kilometers. Tank bunds calm waters and the tranquillity all over 
the lake mesmerizes you and takes your mind to the whole new level of 
contentment.
Take a heritage walk in the old city:
Through the lanes of the old city of Hyderabad, you can visit the many 
locations in the old city. Charminar, a four minaret structure made with 
limestone was built about 400 years ago. Charminar is the landmark of the old 
city of Hyderabad where time seems to have frozen a couple of centuries back. 
A good place to experience a medieval environment with congested roads, 
loud, bustly crowds with cramped space. Even Charminar appears taller 
because you need to see it from so close, as there is not much space in this 
cramped area with a very dense population.
In the vicinity of the Charminar area, you can find the famous Laad Bazaar

Durgam Cheruvu is also known as Raidurgam Cheruvu. It is a very interesting 
lake that is surrounded by hills on all sides, so finding this lake after crossing 
hills is a very amazing experience. Originally called the sacred lake being 
named after a Hindu Goddess, this is not more commonly referred to as the 
secret lake. Durgam Cheruvu area has a surprise for you if you are new to 
Hyderabad. It locates a secret lake which is a freshwater lake in it which 
attracts many nature-loving tourists towards it. Don’t miss the view of this lake
