Dear Colleagues,
The pharmacy profession in this part of the world is undergoing substantial transformation towards 
greater  automation, robotics, specialization and importantly upgradation of quality services. For 
pharmacy to keep  in pace with the rest of the world it is most critical to realign, reengineer and 
reinvent our approach in order  to be an integral part of the healthcare fraternity. Therefore, it is of 
paramount importance that the focus  should be on enhancing and upgrading competency and 
professionalism, facilitating staff development,  introducing new range of specialized services apart, 
benchmarking and pursuing global collaboration.
DUPHAT has evolved from its nascent years in the mid-90s to a full-fledged comprehensive and  
internationally recognized pharmaceutical conference. The International patrons and professionals have  
contributed significantly to DUPHAT’s stature and presence in the global scenario. The regional 
associations  and experts have always participated in DUPHAT conferences with increasing enthusiasm. 
The constant  support of Dubai Health Authority has significantly helped DUPHAT emerge as the premier 
conference  in the region. DUPHAT 2019 shall feature distinguished pharmacy professionals from all 
over the world.  Speakers from USA, UK, Australia, Europe, Canada, Africa, Japan and the Middle East 
shall present their  latest perspectives on pharmaceutical science in the intensive 3–day program with 
a wide variety of topics  encompassing pharmacy practice, pharmaceutical science, quality and safety 
of medicines, medication  management, drug recalls and shortages, governance, education, continuing 
professional development  and best practices.
DUPHAT scientific program comprises Pharmacy Workshops, Managerial skills workshop, parallel 
scientific  presentations, professional faculty and student poster session, student poster competition 
and student  short oral presentation competitions. The latest technical information from the 
pharmaceutical industry  will be highlighted in the Pharmaceutical Technologies Exhibition which hosts 
multinational pharmaceutical  companies from the region. As in the previous editions, schools from 
Dubai are participating with healthcare  exhibits and cultural activities.
