For years, Zimbabweans in Southern Africa 
have relied on taxi and bus drivers to 
transport supplies to their families in 
Zimbabwe. But that's been difficult since 
Covid-19 made cross-border travel illegal. 
The lockdown and the closure of the 
Mozambique-Zimbabwe border, firstly, created 
some restrictions on the communities’ 
activities across the border. 
However, trade across the border is the 
border communities’ lifeline, despite the 
negative experiences around it.
