Educating girls can change the world.
The world is changing, there are still some - Adolescent Girls who are 
left behind. They don’t have access to education, and eventually, 
can not make informed decisions about their future and their 
health, leading to all sorts of problems down the line.
To see real change in our society, we 
need to educate these girls so that they 
can take charge of their futures and 
develop into strong leaders who will 
lead by example for generations to come 
and are not victims of gender inequality, 
sexually assaulted, raped, and harassed.
Adolescent girls face the most 
significant disadvantages
• Girls are more likely than boys to be denied 
education, to be married at an early age, and to 
be subjected to physical and sexual violence. 
• The issue of adolescent girls is often overlooked, 
they are often invisible in the policy framework of 
development agencies and NGOs
• Adolescent girls are not only at risk themselves — 
but they are also at risk of having children at an early 
age who will grow up facing many of the same 
challenges they do. 
• We need to invest in the girls who will grow up to be 
women and mothers, teachers and leaders. While 
we know what works, we’re not doing nearly 
enough of it—and that has real consequences 
for today’s young women and tomorrow’s 
economies.
Educating girls helps them lift their families 
out of poverty, and it’s also a proven fact 
that those same girls have children who 
grow up to become educated adults.
The cycle goes on: educated mothers 
give birth to children, who eventually 
become educated adults who can 
both contribute to and benefit from 
an economy.
Empowerment is the act of making 
you powerful through education.
This study is used to describe the 
capacity-building opportunities given to 
adolescent girls in developing 
countries and opportunities include 
education and health care, which are 
critical for helping girls develop into 
self-reliant adults.
Conclusion
Allowing adolescent girls to reach their full 
potential is perhaps one of the best ways we can 
help them realize true empowerment and an 
opportunity for economic growth that will 
hopefully translate to a brighter future.
