group  discussion, you are

There are some rules to ace the Group 
Discussion  round, which are as follows :
Prepare well.
Note important points during 
preparation.  Be confident.
Introduce yourself.
Watch your body 
Language.  Show 
Leadership skills.
Avoid false starts or 
commitments.  Follow your 
niche.
Don't get distracted.
Do not get aggressive or start 
fighting.
Mistakes to Avoid in 
GD.
Stop taking leads if you do not know 
much  Do not hesitate to initiate the 
discussion
Do not copy anyone else ideas or 
comments  Do not loose eye contact 
while speaking
Do not lose confidence in the whole 
discussion.  Do not speak slowly
Try to contribute to a discussion rather than 
just speaking
Some tips for the mentors 
too :
•To make it success, choose a light topic , develop good communication  
with participants and tell them to speak properly .
• You must know the exact point where you decline a conversation.
•While moderating , do not let the fire of discussion burn you. Even if  
your class discussion turned into a fight or a revolt.
• Stop interruptions from not just your side but also from the opponents.
•Follow the rules and work into a system where everyone has a right to  
speak, choose a side, and share individual thoughts.
•Any kind of hate or mean comments should be avoided, any personal  
reasoning should not be framed, and the choice of words should be strictly  
formal.
•The most important factor of engagement is fun. It is your responsibility  
to make it fun and interesting through your choice of topic.
