What a conditioner actually does and its benefits
Commercial hair conditioners have been around for nearly as many years as shampoos. The 
two hair care products are as inseparable as Cookies and Milk. A common misconception is 
that hair conditioner is important, but is, nevertheless, Shampoo’s sidekick. In reality, even 
the best shampoos have to pull their weight in combination with a conditioner. And the 
same applies vice versa. 
Why use a hair conditioner… 
Human hair is rooted deep inside the skin. The part that projects outside the skin has an 
outer protective layer. This is composed of overlapping dead cells, arranged much like roof 
tiles or fish scales. So long as these cells are pressed flat and held tightly together, the hair
