Introduction
A UAE trader had a requirement to purchase Jet Fuel JP54 Aviation Kerosene to supply it
in the secondary market. So, they searched for reliable suppliers who can supply as per
the  needs  and  requirements.  Finally,  they  found  a  reliable  supplier  from  Russian
Federation, who insists Bank Comfort Letter MT799 upon signing the JP54 contract with
them. 
Problem – The Client Required BCL MT799
As the supplier  required Bank Comfort  Letter  to  conclude  the trade deal,  the buyer
started  looking  for  the  way  to  avail  BCL  MT799  on  behalf  of  their  company.  They
contacted their bank with their BCL request. As they don’t have enough balance in their
account, the bank rejected their request.

As per our request, our bank issued BCL to the supplier’s bank account via authenticated
Swift MT799. Once the supplier received the BCL in their favor, they affirmed that the
buyer has the financial means to conclude the deal. So, the supplier forwarded the POP
(Proof  of  Product)  to  the buyer’s  bank,  which  indicated that  they have the  required
product available in stock and ready to ship. 
Once the buyer received the POP, they requested BWT to issue Standby LC in favor of
their supplier to facilitate the transaction & concluded the deal successfully!
