Overview
An Indian Trader contacted Bronze Wing Trading to avail Standby Letter of Credit – SBLC MT760 in
favor of their Supplier to import 3D Printing Consumables from Chinese Supplier. Being a SBLC
Providers, we helped them by issuing Standby LC within 48 hrs to conclude their deal successfully.
Client’s Requirement
The Client who owns a trading company in India decided to expand their business by importing 3D
printing consumables from a Chinese Supplier. The supplier asked the buyer to provide a SBLC
MT760 in favor of them, so that they can do SBLC discounting from their bank and get the cash funds
to arrange the goods from the principal supplier. The Client (Indian Trader) contacted their bank to
avail Standby LC that can be monetized from the supplier’s end.
The Bank demanded certain percentage of the deal value as cash margin to proceed with the SBLC
request. Due to some financial crisis, the Client was unable to provide the required cash margin, so
the bank declined their request. So, they had left with no option, rather than getting help from
international trade finance providers. So, they narrow down their search to find the right SBLC
providers and found Bronze Wing Trading from an AD posted by us on Gulf Business, B2B Portal.
Our Approach
The Client submitted their request to us and also informed us about the supplier’s demand on SBLC
discounting. We studied thoroughly and approved their request. Then, we asked the client to sign the
service agreement and the admin charges. Once it’s done, we started structuring their SBLC in such a
way that can be monetized at the Supplier’s Bank. We sent the SBLC draft for the Client’s approval.
The Client approved the SBLC draft and transferred the SBLC issuance fee charges to us. Instantly, we
contacted our bank with the SBLC request and instruct them to issue the SBLC on behalf of the buyer
to the supplier’s bank via authenticated Swift MT760.
Results:
The supplier received the SBLC in their bank account within 48 hours. Once they received the SBLC,
they contacted their bank with a SBLC discounting request. The Bank approved their request &
provided cash funds against the issued SBLC. Then, the Supplier arranged the required 3D Printing
Supplies from the principal supplier & then shipped it to the buyer’s port as per the agreed contract.
