visibility. When you delegate management of a cloud-based computing asset, you 
risk losing visibility and control of that asset. The specifics of what data may be 
accessed, how it can be tracked, and what security controls the cloud provider 
employs, must be worked out.

·       Hijacking of user accounts: One of the most critical security concerns in the 
cloud is account hijacking. If a cybercriminal gains access to a user's or an 
organization's account, they have complete permission to engage in unauthorized 
activities.
·       Malicious insiders: Insider threats are a serious concern for businesses using 
the cloud. Internal actors are involved in many data breaches, and a data breach 
could already be underway when any concerns are discovered. Organizations must 
implement appropriate security controls for this.
·       Denial of Service attacks: Malicious cyberattacks like Denial of Service attacks 
are becoming more common on cloud providers. The goal of a DoS attack is to 
overwhelm website servers.
·       Cyberattacks: In recent years, the number of attacks on cloud services has 
more than doubled. Cyberattacks are now targeting cloud settings as the third 
most common target. Therefore, businesses must understand their cyber risk so 
they can defend themselves ahead of time.
