What to expect from hand and wrist surgery?
Wrist surgery is done if an injury such as a fall, trauma or wrist twisting is being



surgery in the case of carpal tunnel syndrome, also known as carpal 
tunnel release. The surgical procedure requires an arthroscope which is a 
small fiber-optic instrument. It helps the surgeon to see inside the wrist 
joint with the help of tiny cameras.

Wrist surgery might cause initial soreness for a few days but slowly 
subsides as healing starts. In the first six weeks of therapy, as soon as 
the bone healing is firm and determined, the rehabilitation focuses on the 
complete restoration of strength and function. 

The types of wrist surgeries, their causes and their approach to treatment
