INTRODUCTION

 Singapore, the biggest airline in Europe in terms of fleet size as well 
as passenger number, is the flagship carrier of Germany. 
 With almost 280 aircraft, this carrier offers flight services to almost 
200 international destinations in Asia, North and South America, 
Africa and Europe. 
 It also caters to its national customers with scheduled operations to 
over 15 provincial destinations in Germany.
 It has a number of partners through the codeshare agreement and 
international alliances with other global carriers.
 When cumulatively calculated along with its partners, international 
tickets of Lufthansa allow passengers to commute to nearly 500 
global locations with an incredible over 600 different 
 aircraft. Most of its pilots, cabin crew and staff are based in and 
around the Frankfurt Airport, where its primary hub is located.
In Hold Limits

 Like most other global airlines, Singapore airlines baggage allowance has 
fixed for customers, and it differs according to the class of travel.
  For luggage carried in the hold for Economy Class general passengers, 
the maximum limit is a single bag weighing 23 kg.
  However, there is a relaxation for its frequent travelers and Star Alliance 
Gold Members, wherein they are allowed to carry 2 bags weighing 23 kg 
each.
 In the Business Class, general travelers are allowed to take 2 bags each 
weighing a maximum of 32 kg, which is increased to 3 bags for First 
Class.
 An additional bag with the same maximum weight is allowed for those 
passengers who have Gold membership of Star Alliance for both the 
categories.
 However, there are some variations depending upon various routes of its 
flights.
Carry-on Baggage Limits

 Though the hand baggage depends upon its routes, it is generally 
one piece in the Economy and two pieces in the Business and First 
Class.
 Also, the dimensions of the bag should not exceed 55 cm x 40 cm 
x 23 cm. Such strict regulations are imposed as the cabin space is 
limited and excess luggage can cause cramping of passenger-
space.
 This may cause several problems and discomfort for passengers 
especially on long ones like Hyderabad to Singapore flights.
 Those belongings that do not fit in the overhead bins are carried 
free of charges in the hold, provided they do not exceed the limits.
 In case, the amount exceeds the permitted weight, some 
additional charges are levied.

 Due to immense popularity, Lufthansa flight status features almost on all travel portals 
with numerous travelers booking tickets for its flights daily.
 As per independent surveys, this carrier checks-in nearly 50 million bags annually, 
labels them and sends it to different baggage handlers depending upon the routes of 
passengers.
 Managing such a huge number is extremely difficult and a slight error can have serious 
implications. On rare occasions, if a certain belonging of a passenger is delayed or lost 
due to adverse weather, improper handling or technical problems, the airline takes full 
responsibility to locate it and send it to its rightful owner at the earliest instant.
 This has been one of the most important reasons for its paramount success across the 
globe.
