INTRODUCTION 
The 2018  FIFA  World  Cup  was  the  21st FIFA  World  Cup.  This  year,  the 
world cup held  in Russia from 14 June  to 15 July 2018, after  the country 
was  selected  in  a poll  for  the hosting  rights,  on 2 December 2010, which 
took  place  in  Zürich.  It  was  the  first  World  Cup  to  be  held  in Eastern 
Europe. For the first time, the tournament was organised in two continents 
– Europe and Asia at an estimated cost of over $14.2 billion, becoming the 
most expensive World Cup ever.


LOGO
The  official  logo design,  for  the  FIFA World Cup 
2018,  was  revealed  by  three  astronauts  at  the 
“International Space Station”. They revealed it on 
28  October  2014.  The  shape  of  FIFA  2018  logo 
has  an  outline  of  the  World  Cup  trophy.  The 
design  consists  of  the most  dramatic  use  of  red, 
blue and gold colours, which symbolize the “Age­
old  Art  Techniques”  from  Russia.  This  beautiful 
and  colourful  logo  has  a  traditional  look  of 
Russia. The  logo  has  been  designed  by  Lisbon­
based Brandia Central.

Major Teams & Players
 The final tournament involves 32 national teams, among which, 31 teams 
are selected through qualifying competitions and the 32nd team is the host 
team.  In  the  FIFA  2018  World  Cup  Brazil,  France,  Argentina,  Spain, 
Portugal,  Germany,  England,  were  the  major  participating  teams,  and   
Germany was the defending champion,

 All  the  teams played hard and  the main players  that won many goals  in 
the  different  matches  in  FIFA  were  Messi,  Ronaldo,  Neymar,  Mbappe, 
Griezmann, Hazard, Md. Salah, James Rodriquez, Neuer

the FIFA World Cup
