What is Earthquake
• Shaking of the Earth’s surface called Earthquake.
• Earthquake is cause of seismic waves, Energy 

release in the Earth’s lithosphere that create 
seismic waves.

• For non-earthquake seismic rumbling, Tremor 
word is use.


What We have to do during 
Earthquake


People Who are inside 
Building

• There are some tips for those people who are inside 
home, company or Hospital etc.

• First of all if you are able to walk then go to a 
ground which is near you.

• If you are not able to move then sit down under 
table or desk.

• If you are on bed than cover your head with the 
pillow.


• Make sure that all electricity is switched off.
• Stay away from the things that can harm you during 

earthquake means things that can easily fall.
• Cover your children as well if they are at home.
• People who are in companies, Hospitals and 

schools, they need to wait for fire alarm and some 
help till then take care of themselves.

• If you are on wheelchair then lock the wheels, so 
your chair will not move.


People Who are on Road

• If you are walking on road then lie down and make 
sure that near you there is no building and tree.

• If you are in Public transport then leave the 
transport as soon as possible and find a safe place.

• If you are driving then stop your car and park at 
some safe place and if you are not able to park then 
leave it and run. 


People Who are in large 
venues

• If you are in large venues like stadium and theater 
then don’t move.

• Sit on your Seat bend your self and cover your head 
with your arms.

• Stay Away from furniture that can harm you.


Things you should not do 
during earthquake

• Don’t try to move if you are not able to.
• Make distance from doorstep.
