• The distributed controllers ET 200SP CPUs are both compact and
flexible.
• Distributed controllers are the ideal answer for standard and fail-
safe applications, particularly in the medium performance range
for machines with distributed intelligence or series machines with
limited storage.
• The I-Device feature allows you to connect to a higher-level CPU
in the same way that you would with a normal interface module.
• The ET 200SP station is differentiated by its noise-resistant
architecture, which is achieved through short signal and encoder
wiring and minimum wiring effort.
• The CPUs can perform additional functions like as PROFIenergy,
isochronous manufacturing, configuration control (option
handling), and DP master.

1. Standard CPUs
• Standard CPUs - CPU 1510SP-1 PN and CPU 1512SP-1 PN
• SIMATIC ET 200SP has two interface modules available, each with
an integrated CPU and a PROFINET connection.
• The connection adapters can be selected in a variety of ways with
the bus adapters thanks to the three inbuilt Ethernet ports.
• In discrete manufacturing technology, the CPUs can function as a
PROFINET IO controller or as distributed intelligence (PROFINET I-
Devices).
• The 151*SP CPUs can be enlarged with ET 200SP standard
modules or decentralized via PROFINET with any ET 200 system.
2. Failsafe CPUs:
• Failsafe CPUs - CPU 1510SP F-1 PN and CPU 1512SP F-1
• The failsafe ET 200SP CPUs support standard and safety program
processing. They have EN 61508 (2nd Edition) functional safety
certification and are appropriate for use in safety-related
applications up to SIL 3 (IEC 62061) and PL e (ISO 13849).
• For IT security, further password protection has been included for
the F configuration and F application.
• The CPUs can function as a PROFINET IO controller or as
distributed intelligence (PROFINET I-Device) in discrete
manufacturing technologies.
• The integrated PROFINET IO IRT interface is designed as a three-
port interface, allowing a line structure to be formed in the plant
via ports 1 and 2, as well as connecting a PG / PC or HMI device to
port 3.
