Neosoft Technologies Reviews - Twitter and 
other social media platforms have removed 
nearly 100 posts and URLs, as the government 
has asked them to remove content that are 
important to combat the current medical crisis 
or spreading fake news around the epidemic.
Twitter told Reuters news agency on Saturday 
that Twitter has stopped some tweets 
following a legal request by the Indian 
government.
Neosoft Technologies Reviews, the law mentioned in the 
request of the Government was the Information Technology 
Act, 2000. While it was unclear which part of the law was 
applied in the case, New Delhi gave an emergency order to 
Twitter and Facebook to censor over 100 posts in the country. 
A Twitter spokesperson said in an email statement."When we 
receive a valid legal request, we review it under both Twitter 
rules and local law". If the content violates Twitter's rules, the 
content will be removed from the twitter service. If it is 
determined to be illegal in a particular jurisdiction, but not a 
violation of Twitter's rules, then we only provide access to the 
content in India. "
According to sources, the companies have 
followed the order. However, it was not 
immediately known what the deleted 
posts were. In the government's legal 
request, disclosed on the lumen, 21 
tweets were mentioned. There are many 
tweets including the tweets of Revnath 
Reddy, a minister in the state of West 
Bengal and a filmmaker named Moloy 
Ghatak and a filmmaker named Avinash 
Das. 
The spokesperson confirmed that Twitter 
had directly informed the account 
holders about the withdrawal of their 
content and let you know that it had 
received a legal order related to their 
tweet.
The development was previously 
reported by technology news website 
TechCrunch, saying that Twitter was not 
the only platform affected by the order.
India is in the grip of another severe 
wave of the epidemic, which has made
