Five simple steps towards and eco friendly office
Five simple
steps towards
and eco friendly
office
Every year Earth Day reminds us
that there are always more ways
for enterprises and employees to
adopt environmentally-friendly
policies on how we can make our
office eco-friendly..
SO LET’S DISCUSS
FIVE STEPS
TOWARDS AN ECO
FRIENDLY OFFICE
USE ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY OFFICE PRODUCTS
They cost just 5 per cent more on average, which is
a low price to pay to minimise waste and
emissions. Start tiny-100 % recycled paper,
cartridges of refillable ink, non-toxic highlighters
etc. Check out Frog file in Vancouver as a great
place to stock up on the eco friendly office goods.
USE ELECTRICITY WISELY
Switch off all computers, printers, photocopiers and other
devices that need not be turned on at the end of the day
and leave them off before you have to use them again.
Make sure all computers / monitors are set to their most
energy-efficient settings (e.g., monitor set to shut down
after 15 minutes with no use). Turn off the lights when you
leave a room for more than a few minutes. Using compact
fluorescent lamps, rather than incandescent bulbs
USE NON-TOXIC CLEANING
PRODUCTS
Many brands nowadays are available, such as Nature Clean,
Norwex, and oxygarden, Process, Ecover, Orange TKO and Pink
Solution. Encourage the cleaning company to use green
products for cleaning and move to one of the many businesses
that already use environmentally friendly products if they don't.
REDUCE, REUSE, RECYCLE
Reduce, reuse, recycle means more than just tossing
(although you don't need to avoid doing that) old
notepaper into the blue bin. Think truly of everything you
use. In the water cooler, do you need disposable cups? A
fourth R-Refuse has been introduced by Australia. Put
simply: Don't buy things that you don't need. And when you
make a purchase take your own bags with you.
SO LET’S TAKE A STEP
TOWARDS ON HOW WE
CAN MAKE OUR OFFICE
ECO- FRIENDLY BYU

SIMPLE STEPS
