INTRODUCTION
• Tripindi Shradha is a contribution to the memory of the dear departed. Tripindi Shradha means Pind 
daan of our last three generations who passed away. Tripindi shradha is also called Pitru Dosh. If 
anyone in the family from the previous three generations has passed away in a very young age or old 
age for that souls, we have to do the Tripindi Shradha. If the Tripindi shradha has not been made for 
continuously last three years to the departed souls, then the dead gets angry, so to calm them, we 
performed Tripindi Shradha. Tripindi Shradha is the pind daan of the forefathers of the previous three 
generations.
• According to the Shradhakamalakar Scripture, it is described as Shradha of our forefathers should be 
performed 72 times in a year. Shradha is not getting performed due to some reason for several years; 
then ancestors remain unsatisfied and displeased.
• Tripindi Shradha pooja is performed with the "Pind" (Rice balls) assembled on "Vishnu Paad" to calm 
down Lord Vishnu in the form of Gadadhar. As per the ancient scriptures, it is suggested that this rite is 
performed only at the tirtha kshetra. Out of another tirtha kshetra Rameshwaram, Gokarna, 
Srirangapattana, Gaya and Trimbakewshwwwa.rp. Turriomhbitaskaensghhw.oarrg Nasik is the most auspicious place to 
perform. Tripindi Shradha rite at Trimbakeshwar reduces the problems that occurred due to Pitru dosh.

From the above stanza of mantra, it is observed that, everybody must perform Shradha of their 
forefather. If Shradha ritual is not performed by descendents then they have to face many problems 
becuase of ancestors blame.
As per the great theological scripture Adityapuran, it is said that if the Shradha ritual is not performed 
every year, ancestors absorb the blood of their descendants.

Best Month to Perform Tripindi Sharadha
Tripindi Shradha Pooja should perform on months like Vaishakhmaas, Shravanmaas, Karteekmas, 
Margasirshmaas, Paushyamaas, Maghmaas, and Phalugunmaas as per the Hindu calendar.
Tithi or the date may Panchami, Ashtami, Navami, Dashami, Ekadashi, Trayodashi, Chaturdashi, or 
Amavasya. It would be beneficial to perform this Tripindi Shradha Pooja during Sun's transit in Kanya 
Rashi (zodiac Virgo) or Tularashi (Libra), generally in September and December.

IMPORTANCE OF PERFORMING .
TRIPINDI SHRADHA
In this ritual, Lord Bramha, Lord Vishnu, and Lord Mahesh (Shiva) are devotedly worshiped as they are 
representative of virtuous, regal, and anger, respectively. Lord Bramha is worshiped and offered Jav pinda 
(barley lump) to relive from the affliction of virtuous dead bodies. To relive from the pain of regal, Lord Vishnu 
is worshipped and offered rise lump, whereas for reliving from demons of anger, lord Rudra is worshiped.
To get salvage from various problems such as house clashes, failure in business, lack of peace, health,
