Getting A Navy Federal Credit Card
Have you ever wondered what it would take to get a Navy
Federal Credit Union credit card?
If you have a 645 or lower, it's better that you wait and
attempt to get into their ecosystem by setting up a
checking/savings account or even getting a secured
credit card. These cards can graduate in as little as 6
months.
If you have a 700-740 you can go for the Cash Rewards,
Platinum or Go Rewards cards. If you have over a 740 you
should focus on the higher tier cards like the Flagship and
Amex More Rewards cards. With the Flagship there is a
minimum of $5k credit limit offered and a max of $80k
offered.
The maximum credit limit you can expect is $25k without
Proof Of Income (POI).
You can qualify for a second/third card as well as credit
limit increases (CLI) every 91 days or 3 statements, this
you can expect to work 90% or more of the time- it's
pretty much a rule at this point. Keep in mind that due to
covid people are suggesting 95 days. This is called the
91/3 rule.
The current maximum credit limit increase is $4k again
due to the pandemic.
Limits can be moved and cards can be “product
changed” across all, but recent data points show they
are now requiring both cards to be a year old.
