1. The Jammu and Kashmir 
Reorganization Bill
• The Jammu and Kashmir Reorganization Bill, 2019 
was presented in Rajya Sabha on August 5, 2019 
by the Minister of Home Affairs, Amit Shah. 
• The Bill accommodates revamping of the province 
of Jammu and Kashmir into the Union Territory of 
Jammu and Kashmir and Union Territory of 
Ladakh.
2. Indian Arms Act
• The draft Arms (Amendment) Act 2019 was aimed 
at curtailing the proliferation of arms and 
ammunition. Amendments: The ministry proposed 
a new section, 25 (6) for the prohibition of 
firearms or ammunition by members of an 
organized crime syndicate.
3. Transgender Protection Act
• The Bill intends to engage and shield the 
privileges of transgender.
• As per the Bill, irrespective of sex reassignment 
surgery and hormonal therapy, a person would 
have the right to choose to be identified as a man, 
woman or transgender
4. Surrogacy Regulation Bill
• The Bill expects to boycott business surrogacy in 
the nation. It was presented by Union Health 
Minister Harsh Vardhan
• The Bill permits just benevolent surrogacy by 
fruitless Indian couples, who are lawfully hitched 
for in any event 5 years and inside the age 
gathering of 23-50 and 26-55 years for females 
and guys, from a nearby relative.
5. Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code 
(Amendment) Bill, 2019
• The Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code 
(Amendment) Bill, 2019 was introduced in Rajya 
Sabha by the Minister of Finance, Nirmala 
Sitharaman, on July 24, 2019. The Bill adjusts the 
Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016. 
• The Code gives a period bound strategy to settle 
liquidation in associations and among individuals. 
Chapter 11 is the place individuals or associations 
can't repay their remarkable commitment.
6. The Code on Wages, 2019
• The Code on Wages, 2019 was displayed in Lok 
Sabha by the Minister of Labor, Santosh Gangwar 
on July 23, 2019. It attempts to control pay and 
additional portions in all occupations where any 
industry, trade, business, or generation is 
finished. 
• The Code replaces the going with four laws: (I) the 
Payment of Wages Act, 1936, (ii) the Minimum 
Wages Act, 1948, (iii) the Payment of Bonus Act, 
1965, and (iv) the Equal Remuneration Act, 1976.
7. The Right to Information 
(Amendment) Bill, 2019
• The Right to Information (Amendment) Bill, 2019 
was displayed in Lok Sabha by the Minister of 
State for Personnel, Public Grievances and 
Pensions, Jitendra Singh, on July 19, 2019. It hopes 
to change the Right to Information Act, 2005.
8. The Motor Vehicles (Amendment) Bill, 
2019
• The Motor Vehicles (Amendment) Bill, 2019 was 
exhibited in Lok Sabha on July 15, 2019 by the 
Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Nitin 
Gadkari. 
• The Bill hopes to change the Motor Vehicles Act, 
1988 to suit road security. The Act suits grant of 
licenses and permits related to motor vehicles, 
rules for motor vehicles, and disciplines for the 
encroachment of these courses of action.
9. The Consumer Protection Bill, 2019
• The Consumer Protection Bill, 2019 was presented 
in Lok Sabha by the Minister of Consumer Affairs, 
Food and Public Distribution, Ram Vilas Paswan on 
July 8, 2019. 
• The Bill replaces the Consumer Protection Act, 
1986.
