Product Perspective The LMS, from the learner's perspective, will be an intuitive and accessible platform (web and mobile applications) that provides a seamless environment for consuming educational content. It will act as a centralized hub where students can discover, enroll in, learn from, and track their progress across various online courses. 2.2. Product Functions (High-Level for Learner) The LMS will offer the following primary functions for learners:  Account Management: Registering, logging in, and managing personal profiles.  Course Discovery: Browse, searching, and previewing courses.  Learning Experience: Accessing various content formats, participating in live sessions.  Assessment & Feedback: Completing quizzes, submitting assignments, and viewing results.  Progress Monitoring: Tracking course completion and personal achievements.  Engagement: Interacting with instructors and peers via discussions and messaging.  Certification: Receiving digital certificates upon course completion. 2.3. User Characteristics (Learner/Student)  Description: Individuals who enroll in courses to gain knowledge or skills.  Technical Proficiency: Low to Moderate. Assumptions and Dependencies (Relevant to Learner Side)  Learners have stable internet connectivity.  Learners possess basic digital literacy to interact with online platforms.  Content provided by instructors is complete and accessible. 3. Specific Requirements - Learner Side This section details the specific functions and features the LMS must provide for the "Learner" user role. 3.1. User Account Management  FR-UM-001: User Registration: o The system SHALL allow new users to register via email/password. o The system SHALL support quick registration via social media accounts (Google, Facebook). o The system SHALL send a confirmation email upon successful registration. o The system SHALL support OTP-based registration/login.  FR-UM-002: User Login/Authentication: o The system SHALL allow learners to log in using their registered credentials. o The system SHALL provide a "Forgot Password" functionality. o The system SHALL support Single Sign-On (SSO) for registered social accounts.  FR-UM-003: User Profile Management: o Learners SHALL be able to view and edit their profile information (e.g., name, email, profile picture, password). o Learners SHALL be able to update their notification preferences. o Learners SHALL be able to view their enrolled courses, progress, and earned certificates from their profile. 3.2. Progress Tracking & Certification  FR-PTC-001: Learner Dashboard: o Learners SHALL have a personalized dashboard displaying:  List of all enrolled courses.  Progress percentage for each course.  Quick links to resume learning.  Upcoming live classes or assignment deadlines.  Notifications/Announcements.  FR-PTC-002: Course Progress Indicator: o Each lesson and section within a course SHALL have a clear indicator (e.g., checkmark) showing completion status. o The overall course progress bar SHALL dynamically update as lessons are completed.  FR-PTC-003: Course Completion & Certificate Generation: o The system SHALL automatically mark a course as complete once all required lessons and assessments are finished. o Upon completion, the system SHALL automatically generate a digital course completion certificate. o Learners SHALL be able to view, download (PDF), and potentially share their certificates directly from the platform. 3.6.
