MyHeritage, the largest global service for family 
history and DNA testing, and D-ID, a leader in 
de-identification solutions using proprietary state 
of the art technology, today announced the 
launch of Live Story, a new product that uses 
artificial intelligence (AI) to animate family 
photos.
 Using AI-powered technology from D-
ID, Live Story automatically detects 
faces in photos and brings them to life 
with motion.

"Live Story is a unique addition to our already 
extensive suite of features, making it easy 
and fun for our users to transform their old 
family photos into animated video stories 
that they can share with their loved ones,"

D-ID has developed an advanced face 
reenactment technology that applies deep 
learning models on subtle facial expressions to 
generate photorealistic and personalized videos 
in real time. MyHeritage Live Story is the first 
ever application of this technology in the family 
history space.
MyHeritage has recently released their 
new product, LiveStory. LiveStory is a 
never-before-seen AI tool that 
automatically generates a short family 
movie from your photo collection, with the 
photos and videos in your MyHeritage 
Media Gallery.
The short movies are rich in content and 
are automatically created using artificial 
intelligence technology. The movies are 
emotionally charged and tell the story of 
each user's family history using carefully 
selected images and videos from the 
user's family tree.
LiveStory uses AI technology licensed 
from D-ID to identify faces in photos and 
videos, match them to individuals in the 
family tree, and create a video with the 
best photos of each person, presented in 
chronological order. 
The result is a video that tells the 
story of each individual's life from 
birth to death, showing them growing 
up and growing older.
