Australia’s General Skilled Migration (GSM) Program is the most popular and highly
preferred pathway for Indians seeking to settle in Australia. The program offers a wide
range of visa options to those with experience and skills in one of the occupations
featured on the Australia PR visa skilled occupation list. Out of all, the two highly-sought-

professionals with skills needed in the Australian economy.
While both are permanent residency visas, they are different from each other in multiple
aspects, from eligibility requirements, to process, and benefits. Therefore, we thought to
provide insights into their differences to help potential immigrants make the right
decision.

190 visa applicants should first obtain a nomination from a state or territory government
agency. Moreover, they should demonstrate the skills and qualifications for an occupation
