The good news never ends – Voximplant now has HIPAA compliance and can
offer BAAs (Business Associate Agreements). We are always working to make
things easy and secure for you, constantly demonstrating that Voximplant is a
company you can trust. 
HIPAA,  or  the  Health  Insurance  Portability  and  Accountability  Act,  is  a  law
designed  to  protect  the  confidentiality  and  mobility  of  health  information for
individuals  and  entire  medical  institutions.  Compliance  with  these  regulations
makes it possible for Voximplant and our clients to use a secure environment for
the processing and storage of confidential data. 
Technically,  there  is  no  true  “HIPAA  compliance”  given  from  some  governing
body,  but  every  company  can  go  through  a  rigorous  audit  by  trained
professionals.  If  they  meet  the  stringent  criteria,  then  they  will  receive  an
attestation that they meet the requirements of HIPAA. But most companies will
simplify this complexity by saying they are HIPAA compliant.
Voximplant went through this process, and now have an attestation that we meet
HIPAA requirements. This was from an audit by the law firm Manatt, Phelps &
Phillips, LLP, showing that Voximplant is now HIPAA-compliant for the processing
and storage of  medical  data  in  electronic  format.  For  Voximplant  to pass  this
audit,  auditors  had  to  assess  its  compliance  with  HIPAA  regulations,  both
technically  and administratively,  by verifying the company’s hardware, internal
structure,  and its  security and privacy standards.  Furthermore,  our employees
have undergone training about general HIPAA requirements and provisions, and
what actions to take in the event of a data leak.
