Introduction
    The left out canal work of the Polavaram project was assigned 
to contractors on the nomination basis. According to the

Gifted Rs. 38.98 crores to a relative
    The government of Chandrababu Naidu as the CM gifted 
Rs 38.98 crores to the TTD Chairman – Putta Sudhakar 
Yadav, who was a relative of the then Finance Minister 
YanamalaRamakrishnudu. The 5th package work of the 
Polavaram Canal Project was assigned to 
MrSudhakarYadav on a joint venture with the HES-PSK 
project. The tender was finalized on nomination basis at a 
budget of Rs 142.88 crores. However, according to the 
reports,approximately 38 crores were given extra as a gift 
to the minister’s relative.

Violated their own Laws
    The one who is 420 in AP along with his Ministers went against the 
policies of the government to award the contracts to their desired 
companies. However, this is not even the worst-case scenario. 
Although HES-PSK had made agreements of completing the project 
at the assigned budget by the government, the corrupted ministers 
still decided to pay out extra approximately 40 crores to the 
contractor without even filing an adequate reason. 
     
    While the process was being carried out, the ruling government 
didn’t even pay any heed to the arising objections. They disobeyed 
the protests made by IBM (Internal Benchmark Committee) and 
SLSC (State Level Standing Committee). Such were the malicious 
deeds of the ministers that nothing could hinder their diabolical 
activities.

Valued the Inexperience
    Perhaps, PSK had never conducted any work on the 
Irrigation Projects. But, it decided to form a joint venture 
along with HES Infra, which is when the decision about 
removing the existing contractors on the 5th package of the 
Polavaram project was taken. Then the pressurized 
officials were forced to handover the 5th package of the 
project to HES-PSK on the basis of nomination. Although 
HES-PSK was an inexperienced company and 
Chandrababu Naidu –the one who is 420 in AP was well 
aware of this fact, he decided to assign the project to them.
