The Canon Pixma MG3000 setup process begins with unboxing, 
connecting the power cable, setting up the date, time, region, and 
country, and installing the ink cartridges. You do these processes to 
set up the basic functions of the Canon Pixma MG3000 Setup.
Canon Pixma MG3000 Unboxing Guidance
• Unseal the top portion of the printer box using a knife.
• Take the cartridges out of it and keep it aside inside the 
packaging.
• The Canon Pixma MG3000 setup uses 545-Black and 545-Color 
cartridges.
• You can see a user manual, installation CD and a power 
cable on the top of the printer.
• Keep the printing machine on a table or a flat surface and 
remove the cover on it. Also, remove all the red tape on the 
printer, the cartridge access area, and from it rear.
• Now, take the power cable, insert the plug-end into the direct 
electrical wall outlet and the alternate end at the rear port of your 
Canon MG 3000 printer.
• Power on the printer
• This printer does not have an LCD display and so setting up your 
preferences can be done in the driver settings.
• Push the input tray and open the cartridge door. Remove the 
orange protective tape stuck on both ink cartridges and insert one 
by one into the respective slot.
• Insert a plain paper into the input tray immediately after the ink 
cartridge installation, so that the printer prints a calibration page 
confirming that the ink cartridges are well seated.
• After this, you must install the printer software by choosing a 
network of your choice. This completes the printer setup.
