Since 2005, we've built a highly successful and
differentiated Public Private Partnership business with the
state government and the National Health Mission in five
Indian states, where we provide Primary Response Medical
Service to the urban and rural sectors with a network of
3000 ambulances staffed by trained paramedics and drivers
to attend to both emergency and non-emergency patients.
From April to September, Ziqitza Healthcare Ltd, Asia's
largest emergency service provider, served 32000
COVID cases in Punjab with the help of its frontline
Corona Warriors. Ziqitza Healthcare ltd will
commemorate World Immunization Day, as it does
every year, to raise public awareness about the
significance of early immunisation against vaccine-
preventable diseases. In Punjab,
Ziqitza Limited Rajasthan has successfully served more
than 2 million people. In the year 2011, Ziqitza began
operations in Punjab with a fleet of 242 ambulances. In
Punjab, Ziqitza Healthcare collaborates with the state
government to provide medical emergency services to
the general people.
Immunization is the process of making a person immune or
resistant to an infectious disease, usually by the use of a
vaccine. Immunization helps to protect a youngster from
infections that might be fatal. It also aids in the prevention of
illness transmission to others. Vaccines work by stimulating
the body's own immune system to safeguard the person from
illness or sickness in the future. Babies are born with some
innate immunity that their mothers pass on to them through
breast-feeding. As the baby's immune system develops, his or
her immunity begins to wane. Immunization is one of the
most cost-effective health interventions, and it does not
necessitate a significant change in lifestyle.
Previously, different dates in different parts of the world were
recognised for Immunization Week events. For the first time in 2012,
more than 180 countries and territories throughout the world
celebrated World Immunization Week at the same time.
World Immunization Week is a global public health campaign aimed
at increasing vaccine knowledge and immunisation rates against
vaccine-preventable diseases. Every year in the last week of April, it
takes place.
From infancy until old age, vaccination can protect against 25
distinct infectious agents or diseases, including diphtheria,
measles, pertussis, polio, tetanus, and COVID-19. According to
the World Health Organization (WHO), active immunisation
prevents 2 to 3 million lives per year. However, 22.6 million
infants worldwide, especially in developing nations, are still
without essential vaccines. Limited resources, conflicting
health objectives, poor management of health systems, and
inadequate surveillance are all factors that contribute to low
vaccine coverage rates. The purpose of World Immunization
Week is to create public awareness about how immunisation
saves lives and to encourage people all around the world to
acquire the immunizations they need to protect themselves
and their children from fatal diseases.
The idea for a week-long immunisation awareness
commemoration arose from initiatives taking place across many
countries and areas. World Immunization Week, along with World
Health Day, World Tuberculosis Day, World Malaria Day, World
Patient Safety Day, World Hepatitis Day, World Blood Donor Day,
World No Tobacco Day, World Antimicrobial Awareness Week,
World Chagas Disease Day, and World AIDS Day, is one of the
WHO's eleven official campaigns.
