Technology
Overview
Bachelor in Hotel Management & Catering Technology (BHMCT) is a vocational course which educates and 
trains aspirants to acquire professional skills that would help them in getting a job in the hospitality 
industry. The main aim of the four-year course is to make students familiar with management techniques, 
processes, and methods used in hotel and hospitality businesses. BHMCT is divided into eight semesters 
which involves honing skill set and extensive knowledge necessary for jobs in the hospitality industry and 
training of students who wish to open their own catering businesses.
Eligibility
Pass in Class 12 Board Exams from any stream.
Duration of the course
48 months. Total 8 semesters.

Administration
Overview
B. Sc. in Hospitality & Hotel Administration is a 3-year full-time professional programme aimed at 
developing human resources for the Hotel Industry and Hospitality Services. The course spread over 
six semesters, with a semester dedicated to Internship, equips students with all the required skills, 
knowledge and attitude to efficiently discharge supervisory responsibilities in the Hospitality sector, 
and trains students for a professional career in the hospitality industry in a broad category of fields 
within service industry that includes event planning, hotels, catering, transportation, theme parks, 
cruise line, and additional fields within the tourism industry.

Overview
Master of Business Administration or MBA in Hospitality & Hotel Administration is a 2-year full-time 
postgraduate program in Hospitality Management, which emphasises on the application of business 
principles and practices within the hospitality industry. The course follows a semester-based curriculum, 
with each year comprising of two semesters, inclusive of an internship in the hospitality industry. The 
course aims at preparing professionals for various roles in the hospitality and tourism industry.

TRAINING & PLACEMENT DETAILS
GNIHM has a dedicated Training and Placement Cell that looks into the placement of final 
year students. The faculty members together with the training and placement officers screen 
the students and match the profiles with the candidate profiles of various recruitment 
companies. The method of screening includes objective-type tests on the hospitality core 
subjects, mock panel interviews, group discussions, student presentations and extempore 
speaking on current topics. The institute also conducts Specialization Classes in the Final 
Semester of the course, along with Soft Skill and Grooming Classes, to get the students ready 
for facing Campus Interviews. Every year, the institute invites top-notch companies to 
conduct placement drives, and students are selected for different types of roles depending 
upon their skills and abilities.
