leader – and how to develop one – evolves

average lifespan of S&P 500 companies is

continues declining. In 2027, we expect these
large corporations to last about 12 years,
compared to 30 years in 1997.
Good leaders can tap into the workforce's
creativity, innovation, and empathy to stay
connected with the consumer. It allows them
to stay ahead of the competition by
developing better products and solutions.
Foster Workplace Diversity
The workforce (and thus the customer
base) is becoming more diverse.
Most businesses deal with an
increasingly diverse set of customer
needs and value preferences,
necessitating access to a broader talent
pool.
In the workplace, there are five
generations. Most industries are
addressing issues of equity, equality,
and social justice.
Good leaders value diverse
experiences, skills, and perspectives
and can use them to develop better
solutions for their clients.
Support Young Workforces
Employee expectations have shifted.
Younger generations have expressed
a desire for purpose and meaning to
be developed, included, and
coached.
Millennials now make up more than
half of the workforce, and their share
is growing. Many older workers

mentor to establish short and
long-term goals. There should
also be a way to track progress
with regular checkpoints. Adult

program, leaders should receive
constant support and meet with
