How Does a Sewage Treatment Plant Work?
1. Primary Settlement Tank:
•Function: Separates solids from liquids.
• Process: Wastewater enters, solids settle at the 
bottom,  and liquids move to the biozone 
chamber.
2. Biozone Chamber:
•Function: Treats liquids using beneficial bacteria.
•Process: Aerated by a pump, bacteria digest 
organic  matter, purifying the water.’
3. Humus Chamber:
•Function: Final solids settlement.
•Process: Remaining solids settle out; the 
effluent is 95%
clean and ready for discharge into local water 
bodies or drainage systems.
