1. Lal bagh Botanical Garden
Lal Bagh is a popular tourist attraction in Bangalore
that spans over 240 acres. Lal Bagh serves as the
home for nearly 1,854 species of flora that are of
French, Afghan and Persian origin. Commenced as a
pet project of Sultan Hyder Ali, it was eventually
concluded by his heir Tipu Sultan.
Lal Bagh turns into a sight to behold in the month of
January with dazzling flower displays. While the
glass house is the regular venue for flower-shows,
the Lal Bagh Rock, considered to be millions of years
old, is said to attract a horde of visitors.

2. Wonder La Water Park
Wonder La is the best amusement park in
Bangalore city. This simply is not just an
amusement park, but a world of breathtaking
charm. The amusement park offers

including wooden water chute, pipes of
different heights and curves to slide through.
Among other noteworthy water rides at the
park are the vertical drop and artificial wave
pools.
3. Visvesvaraya Industrial and
Technological Museum
A must-visit for all you science geeks out there,
VITM at Kasturba Road promises a mesmerizing
experience. The museum contains artifacts,
prototype machines and replicas relating to the
field of science and technology.
Relish exploring the numerous electrical, space-
related and biotechnological exhibits (depicting the
various respective forms and utilities). Treat your
eyes to a 3-D film show or one of the many science
shows held at the place. Keep an eye out for the
mammoth animated dinosaur when you’re busy
exploring the museum.

4. Bannerghatta National Park
Considered a paradise for nature-buffs and wildlife
enthusiasts, the Bannerghatta National Park (located
on Bannerghatta Road), seeks to uphold ecotourism
and impart the significance of conserving wildlife to
the upcoming generations.
You can either choose to roam around the zoo on
foot and observe the different animal and bird
species, or hop aboard a jeep/bus and enjoy a safari.
The newly added butterfly farm is will serve as an
added attraction.

5. Bangalore Palace
Bangalore palace, enclosed by beautiful gardens, is
a famous tourist spot in Bangalore. It is now owned
by the Mysore Royal family. It is one of the most

wooden structure of the palace along with the
splendid carvings both outside and inside the
palace depicts various architectural styles and
showcases the royal culture. It is said that King
Chamarajendra Wadiyar drew his inspiration from
the Windsor Castle of London.
6. Bull Temple
The Bull temple in Basavanagudi was built by the
founder of Bangalore – Kempe Gowda. Boasting an
exemplary display of the Dravidian architectural
style, the temple houses a massive idol of Nandi (the
bull) which is said to be carved out of a single rock
piece. The famous groundnut fair takes place at the
Bull Temple on a yearly basis.

7. Cubbon Park
Cubbon Park is a major tourist place in Bangalore,
with 300 acres of green foliage. Having been laid
down by Lord Cubbon, it is an ideal place for nature

Bangalore Aquarium is also situated here, and this
aquarium is the second largest aquarium in India. It is
also known for its beautiful landscapes. Naturally
occurring rocky outcrops have been beautifully
integrated with lush green thickets of trees, sprawling
flower beds and impressive bamboo groves.
8. Iskcon Temple
Situated at Rajajinagar, ISKCON Bengaluru is one of the
largest ISKCON temples in the world and a showcase of
zealous devotion for Lord Krishna.
The temple plays host to a number of
activities/programmes such as prayer meets, sloka recitals,
cultural events and festival celebrations. The notable
aspects of the temple are its six separate shrines, a 9 m
gold plated Kalash shikara, and a 17 m gold-plated flag
post.

9. Tipu Sultan’s
Palace
Tipu Sultan’s Palace is located inside the Tipu Sultan Fort.
Built between 1781 and 1791, the Emperor referred to it as
the ‘Rash-e-Jannat’. Now, Tipu Sultan’s Palace has been
converted into a museum and is maintained by the
Archaeological Survey of India. The structure has two storeys
and has wonderful wooden carvings that adorn the columns
and balconies.
10. Chunchi Falls
Chunchi falls, is almost 50 feet high cascade of the
falls. The best time to visit this fall would be right
after the monsoon when there is enough water in the
Arkavathi river. There is a power station ahead of
Chunchi falls. After the power station is installed, the
amount of water has reduced significantly here . One
should not try to step closer to the falls, it might be
risky and dangerous. Chunchi falls has witnessed
accidents before. There is no entry fee to this place.
However, one should not stay there until late evening.
As the place is deserted, the chances of mishaps are
pretty high.
