COVID- 19
• Corona virus disease (COVID-19) is an infectious disease caused
by a new virus named as SARS-CoV-2.
• The disease causes respiratory illness (like the flu) with symptoms
such as a cough, fever, and in more severe cases, difficulty
breathing.
• It spreads primarily through contact with an infected person when
they cough or sneeze.

• Maharashtra tops the tally with 160 fatalities in India.
• Press Trust of India reported that more than 2 lakh Covid-19
tests have been conducted so far.

• In India confirmed cases of COVID-19 has reached to
11487 with around 9700 active cases.
• Total recovered cases has reached to 1359 with number
of death 393.

• India ramps up efforts to contain the spread of novel corona
virus.
• Total COVID-19 cases in the world has reached to 1.9 million
with highest cases in USA(606822).
• Apart from USA , Spain, Italy, France and Germany has
effected very badly.

Precautions
• You can protect yourself and help prevent spreading the virus to others if
you:
Do
• Wash your hands regularly for 20 seconds, with soap and water or alcohol-
based hand rub
• Cover your nose and mouth with a disposable tissue or flexed elbow when
you cough or sneeze
• Avoid close contact (1 meter or 3 feet) with people who are unwell
• Stay home and self-isolate from others in the household if you feel unwell
