INTRODUCTION
• Built by the United Arab Emirates, the Emirates Mars Mission is the first
of three missions headed to the red planet.
• It has lifted off from Tanegashima Space Centre in Japan.

atmosphere of mars.

LAUNCH OF THE VEHICLE
• Due to bad weather the Hope Probe took off with delay from the
Tanegashima Space Centre in Japan.
• The probe has established two-way communication with the ground
segment in Dubai.

• The UAE has launched satellites before in 2009 and 2013.
• They were developed with South Korean partners.
