Introduction
• Kailasavadivoo Sivan (conceived April 
14, 1957) is an Indian Space Scientist 
from Kanyakumari, Tamil Nadu (India). 
• He is filling in as the Chairperson of the 
Indian Space Research Organization 
(ISRO) from January 2018.

Chandrayan 2
• The ISRO propelled the Chandrayan 2 on 
July 24, 2019. He came in the spotlight 
on account of the mission. However,

• He is a Fellow of the Indian National Academy 
of Engineering, the Aeronautical Society of India

• He earned doctoral qualification in aeronautic

Bombay in 2006.

Award
• The award was presented by Shri. K 
Palaniswami, Chief Minister of Tamil 
Nadu on Thursday August 22, 2019 
at Chennai, Tamil Nadu.
