Programming (NLP)
Introduction
• Neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) is a therapeutic technique
involving the study and implementation of techniques employed by
effective people to achieve a particular objective.
• This relates to different results emotions, words, and action patterns
learned through experience.

Components
• Neuro: The physical elements of our neurology, and the intellectual and
emotional elements
• Linguistic: Linguistics applies to the vocabulary you use, and more
precisely how you interact with others and, more importantly, how you
interact with yourself
• Programming: Seeing your mind as your internal operating system is
how our past memories, feelings and emotions influence all aspects of
our lives.

History
• Neuro-linguistic programming at the University of California , Santa
Cruz, was founded in the 1970s.
• The principal founders are linguist John Grinder and knowledge
scientist and mathematician Richard Bandler.

How it Works?
• Core elements of neuro-linguistic programming are planning,
intervention and efficient communication.
• The belief is that if an individual can understand how another person
performs a task, then the process can be copied and communicated to
others so that they too can perform the task.

Six Logical Levels

• Identity
• Beliefs and Values

In Therapy
• Consequently, a therapist who performs NLP will consider how a person
perceives their "path" in therapy, and the impact this interpretation
may have on the thoughts and actions of that person.

Uses
Neuro-linguistic programming has been used to treat a wide range of
issues. These include:
1. Panic, fear, and phobia
2. Communication difficulties
3. After-traumatic stress
4. Breakdowns
5. Attention-hyperactivity deficiency
6. Addiction
7. Schizophrenia
8. Obsessions and stresses

Programming Research
• Researchers investigated whether the language and visualization
techniques used in neuro-linguistic programming would help to better
prepare children with special education needs for classroom learning.
• Researchers concluded that NLP strategies helped the children develop
a optimistic, learning-friendly state of mind.

Limitations
• Neuro-linguistic programming's most important weakness is arguably a
lack of empirical evidence to support the other big statements made by
advocates.
• Another one is Lack of the training and qualification laws.

Conclusion
• Taking an NLP course is like learning how to get fluent in your mind's
language so that the ever-so-helpful "server" that is your unconscious
ends up getting what you really want out of life.
• NLP is an outstanding analysis in communication – with oneself and
with others.
