A Brief About Fenugreek Seeds
Fenugreek seeds are derived from the fenugreek (botanical name - 
Trigonella Foenum graecum)  plant. Fenugreek plants bear small white 
flowers and pods containing small golden-brown seeds. Fenugreek is also 
known as Methi in common parlance in India. The seeds are a culinary 
condiment added in Indian dishes and a medicinal herb used for digestive 
problems. They are rich in multiple nutrients such as fiber, iron, and 
magnesium. The intake of fenugreek seeds helps in the digestion of the 
food, control diabetes & sugar levels, and increases libido in men. 
Fenugreek Essential Oil and Oleoresin
Fenugreek essential oil is derived from the dried ripe seeds of the 
fenugreek plant by solvent extraction method. It is a brownish-yellow oil 
with the characteristic bitter aroma of fenugreek. Fenugreek oleoresin 
obtained from the same source is dark brown viscous semi-solid with a 
similar taste and aroma. It is taken orally or added to the food for curing 
digestive problems such as loss of appetite, gastritis, stomach cramps, and 
constipation. 
Fenugreek oil and oleoresin are effective for skin disorders and possess 
cleansing properties. They have an analgesic effect on spasms. Their 
application in the scalp gives shine to the hair and removes dandruff. They 
are used to add flavour to food items and cosmetics.

The users can take advantage of the fenugreek essential oil in the 
following ways,
Add 2 drops of fenugreek essential oil to the 100 ml warm water and drink 
it twice a day or as many times as you require to reduce digestive issues.
Mix fenugreek oil and jojoba oil in equal quantity and rub gently on the face. 
Then wash the face thoroughly. It cleanses and rejuvenates the skin besides 
treating acne & blackheads.
Blend 4-5 drops of fenugreek oil in 8 ml olive oil and massage on the scars, 
cracked and itching skin.
Mix 3-4 drops of the oil with sesame oil and apply it in circular motions on 
sore body parts.
Dilute 2-3 drops of fenugreek oil or oleoresin with 15 ml sweet almond oil and 
massage gently in the scalp. Leave it for half an hour or overnight.
