Understanding Shuffleboard Rules
 Shuffleboard is a game of disputed origins that has been around for many years.  
It involves using paddles to shove pucks towards a target area, and it has many 
variants as well as alternative names. Shuffleboard is also referred to as shovel-
board and deck shuffleboard.  It has similarities to many sports, such as curling, 
bowls, and in its table form, air hockey.

 If you are interested in playing this game, it would be a good idea to make sure that you 
understand shuffleboard rules.  First of all, the object of this game is simply to use a paddle to 
propel weighted pucks into the scoring zone so as to win points. This game is played by either 
two players (singles play, one against one) or four players (doubles play, two against two). It is 
played on an outdoor court that measures 52 feet long by 10 feet wide. However, there are 
different dimensions available these days on new portable courts as well as indoor courts.

 The shuffleboard has scoring triangles at either end beyond which is a further 6 feet for players 
to stand while playing towards the other end. The triangles has point zones with 10 at the tip, 
nearest the players, then 8, then, the latter two with a central division that creates a left and right 
area. There is the “10 OFF” penalty zone at the base of the triangle.

the player that had the highest score in the previous round goes first. Players 
usually shoot one puck at a time and take alternate goes.
