I'm Dr. Juliet Spurrier, a board-certified pediatrician and the founder of GearLab's Baby site, Baby Gear

Why I Started Baby Gear Lab
The inspiration behind Baby Gear Lab stems from my own personal journey into parenthood. Despite my
extensive medical training and years of experience caring for infants, I found myself unexpectedly 
overwhelmed by the sheer number of baby products available when preparing for my first child. From 
strollers to baby bottles, the options seemed endless. Every product promised to be the best, but how 
could I know which ones truly delivered?
Like many parents, I sought advice from friends and family. While their recommendations were helpful, 
they often only covered one or two brands — and those opinions didn't always reflect the latest 
products on the market. I quickly realized that what I needed was an objective, side-by-side comparison 
of different products that evaluated both performance and safety. When I couldn't find such a resource, I
decided to create it myself.
After welcoming my second child, I was even more motivated to fill this gap. I wanted to empower other 
parents with the kind of science-based, practical information I wished I'd had. That's how Baby Gear Lab
