once: “This post may contain sensitive media; Safe mode is on.”
This was a move to restrict viewing of NSFW content that Tumblr is so famous for,  
especially to underage children. All you needed to do to view the restricted content as an  
adult was turn off the Safe Mode.
Recently, however, Tumblr has taken more stringent measures to protect minors and users  
in general from inappropriate content. Along with deleting a good number of the said  
content, the platform has also done away with the Safe Mode feature. This is the reason  
why it's not turning off.
Does that mean you can no longer access the restricted content on Tumblr? Not at all.
Fortunately, there is a way around it. Unfortunately, this new route is longer, tedious, and  
more complicated to ensure no child can access content that is not suitable for their age.
This process of accessing content when Tumblr safe mode won't turn off applies to both PC  
and android access as long as you have a browser.
 From your browser, go to the Tumblr website
 Log in to your account
 Navigate to the posts via search
 You will be taken to the Safe Mode page
 Click on the button that says GO to my dashboard
 On the dashboard, you will find 'This Tumblr may contain sensitive data'
 Click on View this Tumblr
 You can now see the content on that blog
How to View Hidden Content
Sometimes when you get access to a certain blog, you can't see some content because it's 
 hidden. If that's the case, you'll see a message that says- this post may contain adult  
content, so we've hidden it from public view.
The only way around that is to use an external website.
 Go to Tumbex website
 Type the name of the blog you want and click search
 You will see the results and a Safe Search button
 Click on it so it’s disable then click the reload button which should refresh the 
page
 If you click on the blog, you will now be able to see the content without any 
 restrictions
