Loperamide Hydrochloride Capsules • Loperamide capsules are used to treat sudden short-term (acute) diarrhoea in adults and children aged 12 years and older, as well as long- lasting (chronic) diarrhoea in adults. They contain loperamide hydrochloride, which works by slowing down an overactive bowel, helping the body absorb water and salts that are typically lost during diarrhoea.
