Stamiz Film Coated Tablets
• Stamiz tablets are a treatment for adult 
men with erectile dysfunction, a condition 
where it’s difficult to get or keep an 
erection firm enough for sexual activity. 
Containing tadalafil, a phosphodiesterase 
type 5 (PDE5) inhibitor, Stamiz works by 
relaxing blood vessels to increase blood 
flow to the penis. It does not cause an 
erection on its own—sexual stimulation is 
still required for the medicine to work 
effectively.
What you need to know before you take 
Stamiz tablets
• Do not have an erection problem, as this medicine will not provide any benefit to 
you.
• Take any medicines called nitrates or nitric oxide donors (such as glyceryl 
trinitrate, isosorbide mononitrate, isosorbide dinitrate for the relief of 
chest pain or heart failure, or nicorandil, molsidomine or sodium 
nitroprusside), as the combination may lead to a dangerous fall in blood 
pressure.
• Take amyl nitrite also known as “poppers” as recreational drugs, as the 
combination may lead to a dangerous fall in blood pressure.
Warnings and Precautions
• Have or have ever had any heart disease or heart surgery e.g. valvular heart disease 
(damaged or diseased heart valve), cardiomyopathy (disease of the heart muscle), 
arrhythmia (irregular heart beat).
• Have high blood pressure that is not controlled.
• Have an abnormal or impaired left lower heart chamber.
• Have a restriction of the blood flow from the heart e.g. aortic stenosis
• Have Multiple System Atrophy (a rare condition causing severe loss of 
control of blood pressure due to a shrinkage of muscle or nerve tissue). 
Possible Side Effects
• An allergic reaction: this occurs uncommonly. Symptoms include sudden wheeziness, 
difficulty breathing or dizziness, swelling of the eyelids, face, lips or throat, rashes.
• Sudden decrease or loss of vision: this occurs rarely, distorted, dimmed, 
blurred central vision or sudden decrease of vision (frequency not 
known).
• Have a restriction of the blood flow from the heart e.g. aortic stenosis
• Stevens-Johnson Syndrome (SJS) which is a rare, serious disorder of the 
skin causing flulike symptoms and a painful rash that spreads and 
blisters.
