What is Grief? How to
Overcome Grief?
What is Grief?
Grief is a natural response to
loss. It can be visible in
various forms, ranging from
deep sadness to anger, relief,
regret or even self-
punishment. It brings out
emotions which are unique to
each person's journey of
grieving.
It is also natural to have
questions to the feelings, to
be curious about them. Let
your questioning be a guide
to understanding your journey
and not toward self judgment.
Loss is something that all of us will or might have experienced
at least once in our lifetime and yet it is something that none of
us are prepared for. Maybe the idea isn't to be prepared but to
come through it with a perspective, to allow it transform us. One
of the ways to process grief is to create a ritual around. Practice
expressing in a journal or to a close one, your Regret,
Resentment and Appreciation. For Example:
I regret that I did not say "I love you" to them enough times.
I resent the time I had to be away from them.
I appreciate that I could support them in every decision.
Let's not resist expressing. Let's decide to own it.
In such unfortunate times,
grief has become almost
synonymous with the
pandemic. While we
experience a collective loss
of freedom and right to
exercise our independence,
we are also suffering own
individual, personal losses
that can be painful and
overwhelming.
But you do not have to go through
it alone.
Let us help you.
