The revised pattern of CLAT 2020 
CLAT examination consists of 150 multiple-choice based questions. 
The marking pattern is 1 mark 
Exam for a correct answer and a negative of 0.25 for every 
incorrect answer. The time 
Pattern allotted to complete the examination is 120 minutes. 
There is no negative marking for 
questions, which are left 
unattempted. 
Since the examination is a 
comparative based examination 
meaning thereby that cut-off and 
ranks determine the highest score, 
there is no fixed score or cut-off for 
CLAT Cut-Off the examination. However, a score of 110 is considered a safe score to 
secure a seat in top 10 National 
Law Universities. In terms of rank, 
an All India Rank of 1000 will surely 
land you in top 10 National Law 
University.
