God’s overwhelming, unrelenting, astonishing love for His people. Let 
me ask you a serious question, have you forgotten that God loves you
so much? This powerful truth changes everything. Understanding 
God’s love is staggering – when we begin to comprehend His love that
surpasses knowledge, we begin to be filled with all the fulness of God.

understanding the love of God. I personally have struggled with 
understanding His great love for me. I used to live like His love was 
dependent on my performance on my walk of faith, which is idolatry. 
My mindset was, “I have to do something to make God love me more.”
When I sin that sin that I struggle with or when I don’t pray or read 
Scripture, I have to make up for it by doing something, which is a lie 
from Satan.
If you are a Christian, I want you to understand that you are loved. His
love for you is not based upon your performance.
It’s based upon the perfect merit of Jesus Christ. You don’t have to 
move at all, you are loved by God. You don’t have to be big. You don’t
have to be the next John MacArthur. God loves you and don’t you 
ever forget that. Knowing God’s love for me has radically changed my 
walk with Christ.

How much does God love me?
I want you to take a look at Song of Solomon 4:9. Marriage represents
the beautiful and deep relationship between Christ and the church. 
This verse reveals how much God loves you. One look upward and 
you have the Lord hooked. He wants to be with you and when you 
enter into His presence His heart beats faster and faster for you.
The Lord looks at His children in love and excitement because He 
deeply loves His children. Does God really love us and if so, how 
much?
There is absolutely no denying God’s love for humanity. Humanity 
never wanted anything to do with God.
The Bible says that we were dead in our trespasses and sins. We are 
enemies of God. In fact, we were God-haters. Be honest, does a 
person such as this, deserve love from God? 
The Father gave His Son everything and the Son always obeyed His 
Father. The relationship was impeccable. However, Isaiah 53:10 
reminds us that it pleased God to crush His Son whom He deeply 
loved. God got glory for Himself by crushing His Son for you. 
Take a moment to imagine the perfect relationship between the Father
and Son. In every relationship there is always enjoyment, but in this 
relationship, they perfectly enjoyed each other. They had perfect 
fellowship with one another. Everything was created for His Son.
God so loved you and He proved it on the cross. Jesus died, He was 
buried, and resurrected for your sins. Believe in this gospel of Jesus 
Christ.
Trust that His blood has removed your sins and made you right before
God. Not only did God save you, but He has also adopted you into His
family and given you a new identity in Christ. That is how much God 
loves you!

sister, my bride; You have made my heart beat faster with a single 
glance of your eyes, With a single strand of your necklace.”
2. Song of Songs 7:10-11 “I belong to my beloved, and his desire is

spend the night in the villages.”

Love comes from God 
It’s so easy to say, “God I love you so much.” However, do you realize
where it all comes from? Where does love come from? How are you 
able to love your mother, father, child, friends, etc. God’s love is so 
powerful that it enables us to love others. Think about how parents 
see their newborn child and smile. Think about parents playing with 
their children and having a good time.
Have you ever thought about where that stuff comes from? These 
things are here to be representations to reveal how much God loves 
and is joyful over His children.
