Bodylove Academy's Mat Course: Experience the Best of Traditional and Contemporary Pilates At Bodylove Academy, we offer an interactive and comprehensive learning experience through our Mat Course, which is designed to cater to all skill levels, from beginners to experienced practitioners. Our Mat Program will provide you with the opportunity to learn the Bodylove method, an innovative approach to Pilates that combines traditional, progressive, and contemporary exercises. We believe in educating our students on anatomy and physiology, making them understand the complexities of the human body and how to modify exercises to avoid injuries. What's included in the Mat Course? At Bodylove Academy, we offer a comprehensive program that includes everything you need to become a skilled and knowledgeable Pilates instructor. Here's what you will receive as part of our Mat Program: 1.Bodylove Anatomy Manual 2.Bodylove Mat Pilates Manual 3.Required text – Trail Guide to the Body ($120RRP) 4.Master trainer-led mat Pilates classes 5.Example class plans 6.Private Facebook class library 7. 10% Discount on Full-Priced Bodylove Studio Membership (3 months) Course Module 1: Anatomy In theO fiursttli mneo:dule, we will cover the fundamental concepts of anatomy and physiology, including anatomic terminology, the skeletal system, joints and biomechanics, and the muscular system. Module 2: The Spine The second module is dedicated to the spine, where we will focus on spinal stability/mobility exercises, postural types, injuries related to the spine and neck, and practice teaching. Module 3: The Upper Body In this module, we will cover shoulder mobility and upper body exercises, injuries related to the shoulder, exercise sequencing, and practice teaching for the upper body. Module 4: The Hip The fourth module will concentrate on hip and pelvis stability/mobility exercises, injuries related to the hip and pelvis, postural assessment, and practice teaching for the hip. Module 5: The Lower Leg The last module of the course is dedicated to the lower leg, where we will cover knee stability/mobility exercises, injuries related to the knee and ankle, warm-up/cool-down exercises, and practice teaching for the class flow. Additionally, the Mat Course includes participation in face- to-face learning, including 25 observation hours, 25 participation hours, 20 practice teaching hours, anatomy assessment, theory assessment, and practical assessment. 2023 Course Dates At Bodylove Academy, we offer part-time and intensive courses throughout the year.
