History of BMW 
BMW is Germany based company which currently 
produces automobiles and motorcycles. The founders 
of BMW are Karl Rapp, Camillo Castiglioni, Franz 
Josef Popp and Gustav Otto, they founded the 
company in 1916 and has its headquarters in Munich, 
Bavaria. BMW stands for Bayerische Motoren Werke, 
or in English Bavarian Motor Works. Harald Krüger is 
the current CEO of BMW. 


Logo
BMW logo represents white propeller blades against a 
blue sky. This is due to the company’s role of building 

aircraft engines for the German military during World 
War II.
