Coaching is not a compulsion for clearing IAS but definitely it helps a student prepare better within short time span. There are IAS aspirants who clear the entrance all by themselves. Aspirants who are into job, are pursuing some academic course simultaneously, or who wish to do well in the entrance at first chance, usually prefer to take admission in best coaching for UPSC. However, one needs to take admission into a renowned coaching institute only. Aspirants who are into self-study, too, are hugely benefitted from IAS coaching.
