History of Machu Picchu

• It constructed around 1950-1960 By Incas 
which is constructed in  Cusco 
Region, Urubamba Province, Machupicchu 
District in Peru. 

• It constructs 7,970 feet above sea level and 
covers 80,000 acres.

• It Built in classical Inca style with polished dry-
stone wall.

• Machu Picchu placed in the Eastern Cordillera 
of southern Peru.


• Intihuatana, the Temple of the Sun, and the Room of 
the Three Windows are three primary structure.

• American historian Hiram Bingham was the one who 
searched this and gave international attention to 
Machu Picchu in 1911.

• Vilcabamba was the capital if Inca and later but in 
1572 Spanish defeated it.

• To give a better idea to tourists how building 
originally appeared, Most of the building has been 
reconstructed.
